The Kerala Public Service Commission has invited online applications from qualified candidates for appointment to the post of Computer Assistant Grade-II through Direct Recruitment.

VACANCY

The number of vacancies is anticipated.

Only one ranked list will be published for this notification. Candidates will be advised from the common ranked list against vacancies reported from all the departments mentioned above.

Candidates need to submit only one application.

Candidates cannot claim initial appointment to any particular department.

SALARY

Computer Assistant Grade-II

Pay Scale: ₹27,900 – ₹63,700

AGE LIMIT

Candidates should be between 18 and 40 years of age.

Only candidates born between 02 January 1986 and 01 January 2008, both dates included, are eligible to apply.

Usual age relaxation is applicable to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities, subject to the condition that the maximum age shall not exceed 50 years.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must possess all the following qualifications:

1. SSLC or its equivalent.

2. Higher Grade Certificate in Typewriting English (KGTE) and Computer Word Processing or its equivalent.

3. Lower Grade Certificate in Typewriting Malayalam (KGTE) or its equivalent.

IMPORTANT QUALIFICATION CONDITIONS

Candidates who passed KGTE Typewriting before January 2002 should possess a separate certificate in Computer Word Processing or its equivalent.

Only Typewriting Certificates issued by the Government will be accepted as proof of Typewriting qualification.

Certificates issued by Typewriting Institutes will not be considered.

The list of qualifications accepted as equivalent to Computer Word Processing is available in the Qualifications section of the official Kerala PSC website.

EXEMPTION FROM MALAYALAM TYPEWRITING

Linguistic Minority Candidates

Candidates belonging to linguistic minorities whose first language in SSLC is a language other than Malayalam will be exempted from the Malayalam Typewriting Lower qualification.

However, if appointed, they must acquire the Malayalam Typewriting qualification within four years. Failure to acquire the qualification within the prescribed period will result in discharge from service.

Ex-Servicemen

Ex-Servicemen will be exempted from the Malayalam Typewriting Lower qualification for recruitment to this post.

However, they must acquire the qualification before completion of probation.

Defence Forces Clerks/Writers

Service as Clerk or Writer in the Defence Forces for 15 years will be considered sufficient qualification to apply for this post.

Such candidates must acquire the required Malayalam Typewriting qualification before completion of probation.

RESERVATION FOR DIFFERENTLY ABLED CANDIDATES

Four percent of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates with disabilities as specified in the notification.

Candidates with blindness are not eligible to apply for this post.

Verify all personal and qualification details before submitting the application.

After submission, candidates should keep a printout or soft copy of the application for future reference.

IMPORTANT APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Applications must be submitted online only.

No application fee is required.

Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the information entered in their profile.

Once submitted, the application cannot be deleted or altered.

Candidates should keep a printout or soft copy of the submitted application.

Candidates should quote their User ID for future communication with the Commission.

Original documents proving age, qualification, experience and other claims must be produced whenever required.

Candidates who have an Aadhaar Card should add Aadhaar as ID Proof in their Kerala PSC profile.

PHOTOGRAPH REQUIREMENTS

Candidates creating a new profile must upload a photograph taken within six months.

The candidate's name and date on which the photograph was taken should be printed legibly at the bottom portion of the photograph.

Once uploaded according to the prescribed requirements, the photograph will remain valid for ten years from the date of uploading.

WRITTEN EXAMINATION AND CONFIRMATION

If a Written, OMR or Online Examination is conducted as part of the selection process, candidates must submit confirmation through their One Time Registration Profile.

Only candidates who submit confirmation within the prescribed period will be able to generate and download the Admission Ticket.

Candidates who fail to submit confirmation within the stipulated period will have their applications rejected absolutely.

The confirmation period and Admission Ticket availability will be published in the Kerala PSC Examination Calendar.

RANKED LIST

Only one ranked list will be published pursuant to this notification.

The ranked list will remain in force for a minimum period of one year.

The list will continue to remain in force until a new ranked list is published after the expiry of the minimum period of one year or until the expiry of three years, whichever is earlier.

Candidates will be advised from the ranked list against vacancies reported to the Commission during the period of validity of the list.

IMPORTANT POINT ABOUT MULTIPLE DEPARTMENTS

Since this is a common ranked list for multiple departments, candidates need to submit only one application.

Candidates will be advised according to the order in which vacancies are reported from each department and according to the ranks secured by them.

Once a candidate is advised, his or her turn will be over and the candidate will have no further claim for consideration for appointment to another department from the same ranked list.
